About this coliving

Rock View Coliving is a villa in Ella with 8 bedrooms for up to 10 residents. Weekends are for hikes: the hosts share their favourite routes and sunrise spots. A teacher comes in for sunrise yoga, and the deck is free the rest of the day for stretching. The pace is slow on purpose: healthy food, a massage room and plenty of shade.

Wi-Fi runs at around 90 Mbps, with a 4G backup router. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.

Ella is a small village in the hills, surrounded by tea estates and hiking trails like Little Adam's Peak and Ella Rock. The Nine Arches Bridge is a short walk away, and the train ride from Kandy is often called one of the most beautiful in the world.

Felt at home from the first evening. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of fridge space. Only downside: the road outside can be noisy in the morning. Thanks for a wonderful month!

Everything just worked, which is rarer than it should be. Morning yoga on the deck set the tone for the day. Cool mornings and amazing views for walks. Thilini and the team made everyone feel welcome. Big thanks to everyone in the house.

A great balance between work and island life. The yoga sessions were gentle and easy to join as a beginner. Hikes straight from the door: we did a different trail every weekend. Thilini took us to the local market and cooked rice and curry for the whole house. Can't wait to come back next season.

One of the best months I've had on the road. Healthy breakfasts and a slower pace were exactly what I needed. The whole place has a calm, restorative feel. Rooms are simple but comfortable, with good mattresses. Highly recommend it for anyone working remotely.
