Lakeview Hill House is a villa in Kandy with 7 bedrooms for up to 7 residents. It's a characterful old house with thick walls that stay cool in the afternoon. It suits people who come to get things done: calm rooms, good desks and a no-parties rule. Weekends are for hikes: the hosts share their favourite routes and sunrise spots.
Wi-Fi runs at around 200 Mbps on fibre, with a 4G backup router. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.
Kandy is the hill-country capital, built around a lake and home to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. It's cooler than the coast, surrounded by forested hills, and close to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya.

Came for one month and stayed for three. A peaceful house, and quiet hours are respected. Communication with Lakmini was quick and easy before I arrived. Getting there from the airport takes a while, so plan the trip. Thanks for a wonderful month!

Everything just worked, which is rarer than it should be. A beautiful old house with a lot of character. Quiet enough to actually focus, which is what I needed. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of fridge space.

One of the best months I've had on the road. Living somewhere with so much history was special, and the evening walks were magic. Lakmini shared all the best food spots nearby. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Booked on a whim and so glad I did. Hikes straight from the door: we did a different trail every weekend. Lakmini was incredibly helpful with everything from SIM cards to scooter rental. Only downside: the road outside can be noisy in the morning. Already planning my next stay.
