About this coliving

Wellawatte Sea House is a townhouse in Colombo with 6 bedrooms for up to 8 residents. Cafés, gyms and supermarkets are a short walk away, and ride-hailing tuk-tuks are always nearby. It sits right on the beach, with sun loungers under the palms and a sunset view from the terrace. Twice a week the house cooks together, and Friday is sunset drinks with the whole crew.

Wi-Fi runs at around 370 Mbps on fibre, with a 4G backup router. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.

Colombo is Sri Lanka's commercial capital and the easiest place in the country to do serious work: fibre internet, coworking spaces, gyms and a big café scene. The seafront promenade at Galle Face is the place for evening walks.

I arrived knowing nobody and left with a group of friends. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was unreal. The beach is literally at the end of the garden. Whenever something broke, Dinesh had it fixed the same day. The walls are thin, so earplugs help. Can't wait to come back next season.

Lovely place with a really good crowd. Easy to get anywhere by tuk-tuk, and the area felt safe at night. My room was clean, bright and quiet. Highly recommend it for anyone working remotely.

Exactly what I was hoping for. Lots of spontaneous weekend trips with housemates. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of fridge space. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Everything just worked, which is rarer than it should be. Super central: cafés, gyms and supermarkets all within a short walk. Communication with Dinesh was quick and easy before I arrived. Would definitely come back.
