Coral Garden Coliving is a guesthouse in Hikkaduwa with 5 bedrooms for up to 9 residents. Boards hang by the gate and most residents are in the water before breakfast. It's one of the easiest ways to stay longer without blowing the budget. Twice a week the house cooks together, and Friday is sunset drinks with the whole crew.
Wi-Fi runs at around 80 Mbps, with a 4G backup router. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.
Hikkaduwa is one of Sri Lanka's original beach towns, with a coral reef, sea turtles in the shallows, consistent surf and a lively strip of restaurants. Colombo is around two hours away by train or expressway.

A calm, friendly base for a month of work. Great value for a long stay. Perfect for intermediate surfers, and beginners get lessons right out front. Dinesh sorted out an airport pickup and a local SIM before I even landed. Would definitely come back.

Lovely place with a really good crowd. Very fair price for what you get, with utilities, cleaning and Wi-Fi included. Cleaning was thorough and the sheets were changed every week. There were a couple of power cuts, but the 4G backup kept us online. Can't wait to come back next season.

Second stay here and it was just as good. Family dinners twice a week made it easy to get to know everyone. A great mix of people. We still have a group chat going. My room was spacious and had a great desk. Already planning my next stay.
