Palm Shade Collective is a villa in Arugam Bay with 8 bedrooms for up to 8 residents. There's a saltwater pool for long afternoon swims between calls. Yoga runs on the open-air deck four mornings a week and is included in the rent. Boards hang by the gate and most residents are in the water before breakfast.
Wi-Fi runs at around 110 Mbps, with a 4G backup router. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.
Arugam Bay is the east coast's surf town: a long crescent of sand, a string of point breaks within a short tuk-tuk ride, and lagoons where elephants come to graze in the evening. The main surf season runs from about April to October, when the town is at its liveliest.
