Narigama Nomad Villa is a villa in Hikkaduwa with 7 bedrooms for up to 7 residents. There's a saltwater pool for long afternoon swims between calls. There's a dedicated coworking room with ergonomic chairs, external monitors and a booth for calls. Boards hang by the gate and most residents are in the water before breakfast.

Wi-Fi runs at around 130 Mbps, with a 4G backup router and backup power for outages. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.

Hikkaduwa is one of Sri Lanka's original beach towns, with a coral reef, sea turtles in the shallows, consistent surf and a lively strip of restaurants. Colombo is around two hours away by train or expressway.

I arrived knowing nobody and left with a group of friends. Communication with Nimali was quick and easy before I arrived. The walls are thin, so earplugs help.

Exactly what I was hoping for. I had calls with Europe every evening and the Wi-Fi never dropped once. Desks by the window and a backup router meant zero downtime. My room was spacious and had a great desk.

A great balance between work and island life. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of fridge space. Highly recommend it for anyone working remotely.

Everything just worked, which is rarer than it should be. Perfect for intermediate surfers, and beginners get lessons right out front. The coworking room is properly set up: good chairs, monitors and a quiet booth for calls. Nimali was incredibly helpful with everything from SIM cards to scooter rental.

Lovely place with a really good crowd. The surf guiding was a highlight: Nimali knows which break works on which tide. Boards on site and a break five minutes away, so I surfed almost every morning. Whenever something broke, Nimali had it fixed the same day.

A really well-run house. Nimali sorted out an airport pickup and a local SIM before I even landed. The kitchen gets busy at dinner time, but people are good about cleaning up. Would definitely come back.

Came for one month and stayed for three. Late-afternoon swims in the pool became a ritual. Laundry was easy to sort out and the house is kept very tidy. Big thanks to everyone in the house.

Booked on a whim and so glad I did. My room was clean, bright and quiet. A scooter helps, as the shops are a short ride away.

Good location, but the house could use some work. Rooms are simple but comfortable, with good mattresses. Bring mosquito repellent for the evenings. Good value if those things don't bother you.
