About this coliving

Marine Drive Lofts is a serviced apartment building in Colombo with 8 units for up to 8 residents. Cafés, gyms and supermarkets are a short walk away, and ride-hailing tuk-tuks are always nearby. There's always something on: market trips, sunset sessions, weekend road trips with housemates. There's a dedicated coworking room with ergonomic chairs, external monitors and a booth for calls.

Wi-Fi runs at around 400 Mbps on fibre, with a 4G backup router and backup power for outages. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.

Colombo is Sri Lanka's commercial capital and the easiest place in the country to do serious work: fibre internet, coworking spaces, gyms and a big café scene. The seafront promenade at Galle Face is the place for evening walks.

Everything just worked, which is rarer than it should be. I had calls with Europe every evening and the Wi-Fi never dropped once. Kasun was incredibly helpful with everything from SIM cards to scooter rental.

I arrived knowing nobody and left with a group of friends. Lots of spontaneous weekend trips with housemates. The common areas are spotless and there is always somewhere quiet to work. A scooter helps, as the shops are a short ride away. Thanks for a wonderful month!

Second stay here and it was just as good. The coworking room is properly set up: good chairs, monitors and a quiet booth for calls. My room was spacious and had a great desk. Highly recommend it for anyone working remotely.

Lovely place with a really good crowd. Desks by the window and a backup router meant zero downtime. Rooms are simple but comfortable, with good mattresses. Getting there from the airport takes a while, so plan the trip. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Came for one month and stayed for three. A great mix of people. We still have a group chat going. Super central: cafés, gyms and supermarkets all within a short walk. Kasun sorted out an airport pickup and a local SIM before I even landed.
