About this coliving

Kalkudah Palms is a villa in Pasikudah with 5 bedrooms for up to 5 residents. There's a saltwater pool for long afternoon swims between calls. The garden opens straight onto the sand, so the sea is the soundtrack to every call. Twice a week the house cooks together, and Friday is sunset drinks with the whole crew.

Wi-Fi runs at around 40 Mbps, with a 4G backup router. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.

Pasikudah is a wide, shallow bay on the east coast where you can wade far out into calm, turquoise water. It's quiet and uncrowded, and the best weather runs from about May to September.

Booked on a whim and so glad I did. Fathima checks in without ever being in the way. Hot water was a bit hit-and-miss during my stay. Highly recommend it for anyone working remotely.

One of the best months I've had on the road. Whenever something broke, Fathima had it fixed the same day. Big thanks to everyone in the house.

Came for one month and stayed for three. Fathima shared all the best food spots nearby.

I arrived knowing nobody and left with a group of friends. Cleaning was thorough and the sheets were changed every week. There were a couple of power cuts, but the 4G backup kept us online. Can't wait to come back next season.

A really well-run house. Fathima and the team made everyone feel welcome. A scooter helps, as the shops are a short ride away.

A great balance between work and island life. Family dinners twice a week made it easy to get to know everyone. Lots of spontaneous weekend trips with housemates. My room was clean, bright and quiet. Getting there from the airport takes a while, so plan the trip. Already planning my next stay.

Lovely place with a really good crowd. A great mix of people. We still have a group chat going. The pool after a long day of calls was the best part. Communication with Fathima was quick and easy before I arrived. Would definitely come back.

A calm, friendly base for a month of work. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was unreal. Late-afternoon swims in the pool became a ritual. Fathima sorted out an airport pickup and a local SIM before I even landed. The walls are thin, so earplugs help.

Everything just worked, which is rarer than it should be. The beach is literally at the end of the garden. Fathima took us to the local market and cooked rice and curry for the whole house. The kitchen gets busy at dinner time, but people are good about cleaning up. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Felt at home from the first evening. Fathima was incredibly helpful with everything from SIM cards to scooter rental.

Exactly what I was hoping for. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of fridge space. Bring mosquito repellent for the evenings. Thanks for a wonderful month!
