About this coliving

Tangalle Slow House is a garden bungalow in Tangalle with 6 bedrooms for up to 10 residents. Quiet hours start at 10pm and the work area stays phone-call free. Monkeys, kingfishers and the odd peacock are regular visitors to the garden. It's one of the easiest ways to stay longer without blowing the budget.

Wi-Fi runs at around 90 Mbps, with a 4G backup router. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.

Tangalle is a slower corner of the south coast, with long golden beaches, sheltered coves like Goyambokka and quiet lagoons. Turtles nest on nearby Rekawa beach, and the pace is set by the fishing boats.

Exactly what I was hoping for. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of fridge space. Highly recommend it for anyone working remotely.

A really well-run house. My room was spacious and had a great desk. The kitchen gets busy at dinner time, but people are good about cleaning up.

Came for one month and stayed for three. A peaceful house, and quiet hours are respected. Laundry was easy to sort out and the house is kept very tidy. Already planning my next stay.

A calm, friendly base for a month of work. Nadeesha shared all the best food spots nearby. The walls are thin, so earplugs help. Can't wait to come back next season.

One of the best months I've had on the road. Communication with Nadeesha was quick and easy before I arrived.

A great balance between work and island life. Nadeesha and the team made everyone feel welcome. Only downside: the road outside can be noisy in the morning.

Felt at home from the first evening. Nadeesha checks in without ever being in the way. Big thanks to everyone in the house.

I arrived knowing nobody and left with a group of friends. Surrounded by green and very relaxing. Nadeesha was incredibly helpful with everything from SIM cards to scooter rental. Getting there from the airport takes a while, so plan the trip.

Second stay here and it was just as good. Very fair price for what you get, with utilities, cleaning and Wi-Fi included. Nadeesha sorted out an airport pickup and a local SIM before I even landed.

Booked on a whim and so glad I did. Rooms are simple but comfortable, with good mattresses. Would definitely come back.

Lovely place with a really good crowd. Quiet enough to actually focus, which is what I needed. The common areas are spotless and there is always somewhere quiet to work. There were a couple of power cuts, but the 4G backup kept us online.

Everything just worked, which is rarer than it should be. Great value for a long stay. Waking up to birds and monkeys in the garden never got old. Cleaning was thorough and the sheets were changed every week.
