About this coliving

Tamarind Courtyard is a townhouse in Weligama with 4 bedrooms for up to 5 residents. It suits people who come to get things done: calm rooms, good desks and a no-parties rule. There's a dedicated coworking room with ergonomic chairs, external monitors and a booth for calls. Yoga runs on the open-air deck four mornings a week and is included in the rent.

Wi-Fi runs at around 190 Mbps on fibre, with a 4G backup router and backup power for outages. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.

Weligama's wide, sandy bay has some of the most forgiving waves in Sri Lanka, which makes it a favourite place to learn to surf. Galle is under an hour away by car, and the south coast surf season runs from about November to April.

A great balance between work and island life. A peaceful house, and quiet hours are respected. Desks by the window and a backup router meant zero downtime. Ruwan shared all the best food spots nearby.

Lovely place with a really good crowd. Ruwan sorted out an airport pickup and a local SIM before I even landed. The kitchen gets busy at dinner time, but people are good about cleaning up. Can't wait to come back next season.
