About this coliving

Pagoda Hill House is a townhouse in Unawatuna with 4 bedrooms for up to 6 residents. It suits people who come to get things done: calm rooms, good desks and a no-parties rule. There's a dedicated coworking room with ergonomic chairs, external monitors and a booth for calls. Weekends are for hikes: the hosts share their favourite routes and sunrise spots.

Wi-Fi runs at around 110 Mbps, with a 4G backup router and backup power for outages. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.

Unawatuna is a sheltered bay just south of Galle, with calm water for swimming most of the season, a jungle-backed beach on the far side of the headland and good snorkelling on the reef. Galle Fort is a ten-minute tuk-tuk ride away.

Second stay here and it was just as good. Communication with Dilini was quick and easy before I arrived. Hot water was a bit hit-and-miss during my stay.

A really well-run house. Quiet enough to actually focus, which is what I needed. The coworking room is properly set up: good chairs, monitors and a quiet booth for calls. Dilini checks in without ever being in the way. Big thanks to everyone in the house.

Booked on a whim and so glad I did. My room was spacious and had a great desk. A scooter helps, as the shops are a short ride away.

Felt at home from the first evening. The common areas are spotless and there is always somewhere quiet to work. Already planning my next stay.

A calm, friendly base for a month of work. A peaceful house, and quiet hours are respected. Rooms are simple but comfortable, with good mattresses. Can't wait to come back next season.

Everything just worked, which is rarer than it should be. Whenever something broke, Dilini had it fixed the same day. Only downside: the road outside can be noisy in the morning. Thanks for a wonderful month!

Exactly what I was hoping for. I had calls with Europe every evening and the Wi-Fi never dropped once. Hikes straight from the door: we did a different trail every weekend. Dilini took us to the local market and cooked rice and curry for the whole house. There were a couple of power cuts, but the 4G backup kept us online. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

One of the best months I've had on the road. Desks by the window and a backup router meant zero downtime. Dilini sorted out an airport pickup and a local SIM before I even landed. The walls are thin, so earplugs help. Would definitely come back.

I arrived knowing nobody and left with a group of friends. Cool mornings and amazing views for walks. Dilini and the team made everyone feel welcome.

A great balance between work and island life. Dilini was incredibly helpful with everything from SIM cards to scooter rental.
