About this coliving

Old Dutch Courtyard is a villa in Galle with 5 bedrooms for up to 5 residents. It's a characterful old house with thick walls that stay cool in the afternoon. There's a saltwater pool for long afternoon swims between calls. The pace is slow on purpose: healthy food, a massage room and plenty of shade.

Wi-Fi runs at around 200 Mbps on fibre, with a 4G backup router. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.

Galle's 17th-century fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site: a grid of quiet lanes inside old ramparts, with a lighthouse, boutique cafés and sunset walks along the walls. It's an easy base for the beaches of the south coast.

Fine for a month, though I wouldn't stay much longer. A beautiful old house with a lot of character. Communication with Pradeep was quick and easy before I arrived. The kitchen gets busy at dinner time, but people are good about cleaning up.

A great balance between work and island life. The pool after a long day of calls was the best part. The whole place has a calm, restorative feel. Pradeep shared all the best food spots nearby. The walls are thin, so earplugs help. Already planning my next stay.

Lovely place with a really good crowd. Late-afternoon swims in the pool became a ritual. Pradeep checks in without ever being in the way. Only downside: the road outside can be noisy in the morning. Big thanks to everyone in the house.

Felt at home from the first evening. Healthy breakfasts and a slower pace were exactly what I needed. Living somewhere with so much history was special, and the evening walks were magic. Laundry was easy to sort out and the house is kept very tidy. Hot water was a bit hit-and-miss during my stay. Thanks for a wonderful month!

A really well-run house. Whenever something broke, Pradeep had it fixed the same day. Bring mosquito repellent for the evenings. Highly recommend it for anyone working remotely.

Everything just worked, which is rarer than it should be. Pradeep took us to the local market and cooked rice and curry for the whole house. A scooter helps, as the shops are a short ride away. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
