Lighthouse Street Lofts is a loft-style house in Galle with 4 bedrooms for up to 5 residents. The building has kept its high ceilings, old timber and a shady inner courtyard. Quiet hours start at 10pm and the work area stays phone-call free. The work room has proper desks, monitors on request and a phone booth, so nobody takes calls in the kitchen.
Wi-Fi runs at around 210 Mbps on fibre, with a 4G backup router and backup power for outages. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.
Galle's 17th-century fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site: a grid of quiet lanes inside old ramparts, with a lighthouse, boutique cafés and sunset walks along the walls. It's an easy base for the beaches of the south coast.

Second stay here and it was just as good. A peaceful house, and quiet hours are respected. The coworking room is properly set up: good chairs, monitors and a quiet booth for calls. Ishara checks in without ever being in the way. Bring mosquito repellent for the evenings. Highly recommend it for anyone working remotely.

Exactly what I was hoping for. Ishara and the team made everyone feel welcome. A scooter helps, as the shops are a short ride away. Can't wait to come back next season.

I arrived knowing nobody and left with a group of friends. Quiet enough to actually focus, which is what I needed. I had calls with Europe every evening and the Wi-Fi never dropped once. Whenever something broke, Ishara had it fixed the same day. Would definitely come back.

Booked on a whim and so glad I did. Living somewhere with so much history was special, and the evening walks were magic. My room was clean, bright and quiet. The kitchen gets busy at dinner time, but people are good about cleaning up.

One of the best months I've had on the road. Ishara was incredibly helpful with everything from SIM cards to scooter rental. Hot water was a bit hit-and-miss during my stay.

Lovely place with a really good crowd. Desks by the window and a backup router meant zero downtime. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of fridge space. Big thanks to everyone in the house.

A calm, friendly base for a month of work. A beautiful old house with a lot of character. Ishara shared all the best food spots nearby. There were a couple of power cuts, but the 4G backup kept us online. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
