Harbour Road Lofts is a loft-style house in Weligama with 5 bedrooms for up to 5 residents. The house runs surf guiding three mornings a week and knows which break works on which tide. There's always something on: market trips, sunset sessions, weekend road trips with housemates. There's a dedicated coworking room with ergonomic chairs, external monitors and a booth for calls.
Wi-Fi runs at around 180 Mbps on fibre, with a 4G backup router and backup power for outages. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.
Weligama's wide, sandy bay has some of the most forgiving waves in Sri Lanka, which makes it a favourite place to learn to surf. Galle is under an hour away by car, and the south coast surf season runs from about November to April.

Second stay here and it was just as good. Perfect for intermediate surfers, and beginners get lessons right out front. Ishan sorted out an airport pickup and a local SIM before I even landed. Getting there from the airport takes a while, so plan the trip. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

A really well-run house. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of fridge space. A scooter helps, as the shops are a short ride away.

Booked on a whim and so glad I did. I had calls with Europe every evening and the Wi-Fi never dropped once. Boards on site and a break five minutes away, so I surfed almost every morning. Rooms are simple but comfortable, with good mattresses. Can't wait to come back next season.
