About this coliving

Coral Point Rooms is a guesthouse in Midigama with 5 bedrooms for up to 10 residents. Boards hang by the gate and most residents are in the water before breakfast. Rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi and weekly cleaning, which keeps long stays affordable. Twice a week the house cooks together, and Friday is sunset drinks with the whole crew.

Wi-Fi runs at around 60 Mbps, with a 4G backup router. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.

Midigama is a small village between Ahangama and Weligama with a handful of reef breaks for intermediate and advanced surfers. It's quieter than its neighbours: village life, palm groves, and the coast road a few minutes away.

I arrived knowing nobody and left with a group of friends. Boards on site and a break five minutes away, so I surfed almost every morning. A great mix of people. We still have a group chat going. Hasini shared all the best food spots nearby.

Felt at home from the first evening. Cleaning was thorough and the sheets were changed every week. Would definitely come back.

Booked on a whim and so glad I did. Very fair price for what you get, with utilities, cleaning and Wi-Fi included. Hasini took us to the local market and cooked rice and curry for the whole house. Can't wait to come back next season.

One of the best months I've had on the road. Perfect for intermediate surfers, and beginners get lessons right out front. Whenever something broke, Hasini had it fixed the same day. The walls are thin, so earplugs help.

Good location, but the house could use some work. Laundry was easy to sort out and the house is kept very tidy. Getting there from the airport takes a while, so plan the trip. I'd come back if a few of these get fixed.

Exactly what I was hoping for. Great value for a long stay. Hasini was incredibly helpful with everything from SIM cards to scooter rental. There were a couple of power cuts, but the 4G backup kept us online. Thanks for a wonderful month!

Everything just worked, which is rarer than it should be. Hasini sorted out an airport pickup and a local SIM before I even landed. Only downside: the road outside can be noisy in the morning. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Lovely place with a really good crowd. Lots of spontaneous weekend trips with housemates. Family dinners twice a week made it easy to get to know everyone. My room was spacious and had a great desk. Highly recommend it for anyone working remotely.

Mixed feelings overall. Rooms are simple but comfortable, with good mattresses. The kitchen gets busy at dinner time, but people are good about cleaning up.

Second stay here and it was just as good. My room was clean, bright and quiet. A scooter helps, as the shops are a short ride away. Already planning my next stay.

A great balance between work and island life. The surf guiding was a highlight: Hasini knows which break works on which tide. Hasini checks in without ever being in the way.

A really well-run house. Communication with Hasini was quick and easy before I arrived.
