About this coliving

Bay Breeze Coliving is a villa in Unawatuna with 7 bedrooms for up to 9 residents. The garden opens straight onto the sand, so the sea is the soundtrack to every call. A pool in the shaded garden is where most working days end. Twice a week the house cooks together, and Friday is sunset drinks with the whole crew.

Wi-Fi runs at around 80 Mbps, with a 4G backup router. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.

Unawatuna is a sheltered bay just south of Galle, with calm water for swimming most of the season, a jungle-backed beach on the far side of the headland and good snorkelling on the reef. Galle Fort is a ten-minute tuk-tuk ride away.

A really well-run house. The pool after a long day of calls was the best part. Late-afternoon swims in the pool became a ritual. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of fridge space. Can't wait to come back next season.

Booked on a whim and so glad I did. The common areas are spotless and there is always somewhere quiet to work.

Lovely place with a really good crowd. The beach is literally at the end of the garden. Family dinners twice a week made it easy to get to know everyone. Nimali sorted out an airport pickup and a local SIM before I even landed. Only downside: the road outside can be noisy in the morning.

Second stay here and it was just as good. My room was spacious and had a great desk. Big thanks to everyone in the house.

Everything just worked, which is rarer than it should be. Nimali checks in without ever being in the way. Highly recommend it for anyone working remotely.

A great balance between work and island life. Nimali and the team made everyone feel welcome.

Exactly what I was hoping for. Cleaning was thorough and the sheets were changed every week. A scooter helps, as the shops are a short ride away. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

One of the best months I've had on the road. Nimali shared all the best food spots nearby. Getting there from the airport takes a while, so plan the trip. Would definitely come back.

A calm, friendly base for a month of work. Lots of spontaneous weekend trips with housemates. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was unreal. My room was clean, bright and quiet.

Felt at home from the first evening.

I arrived knowing nobody and left with a group of friends. Rooms are simple but comfortable, with good mattresses. Thanks for a wonderful month!

Came for one month and stayed for three. A great mix of people. We still have a group chat going. Laundry was easy to sort out and the house is kept very tidy. Already planning my next stay.
