Lion Rock Eco Lodge is an eco lodge in Sigiriya with 7 bedrooms for up to 8 residents. Monkeys, kingfishers and the odd peacock are regular visitors to the garden. The building has kept its high ceilings, old timber and a shady inner courtyard. Weekends are for hikes: the hosts share their favourite routes and sunrise spots.
Wi-Fi runs at around 80 Mbps, with a 4G backup router. Every room has a desk, and rent includes utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly cleaning and bed linen & towels.
Sigiriya is a village in the Cultural Triangle, overlooked by the 5th-century rock fortress that gives it its name. Pidurangala rock is the classic sunrise hike, and the cave temples of Dambulla are a short drive away.
